Appointments are regularly scheduled at 50 to 60 minutes based on your treatment goals and needs, Long Appointments are also available.

*To claim the Medicare rebate, you need to have a Mental Health Treatment Plan referral from your GP.

Some health insurance policies cover Psychologist appointments depending on the policy. Please check with your insurance company regarding your cover and how to process any rebate. Medicare Rebates
Under the Medicare Benefits Schedule (Better Access), Medicare rebates are available. Rebates are accessed with a Mental Health Treatment Plan and referral from your General Practitioner, Psychiatrist, or Paediatrician.
The rebate is 10 Psychology sessions per calendar year for most clients and only available with a valid referral. The referral must be received by us prior to your first appointment. WorkCover Queensland
Psychology sessions may be covered by WorkCover. Our Psychologists are registered with WorkCover Queensland. To see us please obtain a referral from your General Practitioner with the Allied Health Referral box ticked and The Psychology Talk entered as the Psychologist and we will take care of the rest. Or you can ask your WorkCover Case Manager to send us an email approving Psychology appointments. NDIS
Give us a call or send us an email and we can begin the process with you. We will need a copy of the NDIS plan, the plan manager and the funding category. We will take care of the rest with you. Referral process
1. Medicare – you will need a GP Mental Health Treatment Plan referral to be eligible for a Medicare rebate before your first appointment.
2. Self- referral – you can refer yourself and book via our website, however you won’t be eligible for a Medicare rebate without a Mental Health Treatment Plan referral from your GP.
Cancellation policy
Cancellations and non-attendances within less than 48 business hours' notice will be charged at the full fee. We appreciate your understanding as there is a high demand for our services, and providing notice allows us to accommodate those on the waitlist.
